The Comics Book Club Art Drawing Competition - Part 2:
"Nagsi-simula pa lang ang tunay na labanan! Humanda ka Son-Goku!"

Date: August 20, 2006
Venue: East West Cafe area

1. self portrait as a anime/superhero character.

I. RULES & REGULATIONS
1. One theme/character for everyone to draw. It would be a melee battle, which means everyone vs. everyone vs. different art styles and body odor.
2. There will be 3 themes to choose from, but only 1 will be used. The themes would be given in advance to give the participants time to think of how they will draw each theme, and give them more time to draw on the day of the event. (refer below to II.)
2. Participants will be divided into three categories of art wherein they feel they are most comfortable, mainly Anime/Cartoons, Comics/Fantasy, or Realism. No category shall contain a single participant.
3. Participants will be given an hour to complete their piece.
4. Participants are allowed to any medium they see fit. (digital, pencils, pens, crayons, watercolor, ketchup, etc.)
5. Bringing of references are allowed. But copying of any existing art is strictly prohibited.
6. A winner for each category will then be chosen. Main prize would be a copy of Gerry Alanguilan's comic book 'Elmer'. Other prizes are still under negotiation.
7. Bring your own baon.

II. THE THEME
For this battle, everyone will have to draw a single theme. This way it would be easy to judge each work even though it is categorized into 3. The participants will draw one of these themes:
A. Huh
B. Huh
C. Huh
The final theme would be identified on the day of the challenge. A ballot would be drawn with the the themes written of pieces of paper. Each particpants would then have to pick one from a bunch of papers, and the most themes drawn would be the selected theme of the challenge. (For example there are 10 particpants, 5 are able to pick A, 3 picked B, and C picked 2, then A would be the selected theme).

ANYONE CAN JOIN! JUST SHOW UP WITH YOUR ART MATERIALS AND MEET THE GANG! YOU CAN EVEN SHAKE HANDS AND TAKE A PICTURE WITH ZERK! SEE YOU THERE!
