Camp Red just returned from a northern Cebu island last October 23-24 and we found a lot of caves. Explored two and hunted bats. Dressed the bats and deep-fried them. The island is a big bushcraft & survival laboratory and I hope to bring tourists there. Eat raw giant Pacific clams and sea urchins as well as discovering two hidden lagoons plus a low-saline beach cove.

Great thread and now lang nako na-kit-an!!
I also have my ownn EDC kit and I am very interested in learining more techniques, especially for out weather here that needs a specialized type of bushcraft survival. The weather and the plants we have definitely need techniques that are our very own. I hope naa mga gatherings or camp get togethers that can be organized here as it is nice to see fellow survivalists.

We have to practice out skills for the impending Zombie attack! Heheheh! Joke!
Hope to be a part of an organized group for this...

I'm asking you then to join Camp Red. We do bushcrafting tailored with our environment plus a little of this and that.

We don't do BMC, we are not mountaineers. What we do is we do actual survival activities in the mountains. You may join us. Look up at our FB site for announcements.

Hi Guys, I really am not into bushcraft, but I carry some EDC gear with me from house to office, and one of them is a pocket knife. Anybody here know the Philippine law regarding knives. I know in the US on some state the limit is 4 inches. How about here?

We really don't have laws about the specific length of blades we carry but Batas Pambansa #6 is the only law about the carrying of knives and other bladed weapons. It forbid the carrying of knives in public places especially if it is hidden. If you do carry one and try to enter malls or transit terminals like ports and airports, you have to declare it so you will not be subjected to the ignominy of warrantless arrests and the seizure and confiscation of your prized blade. Same could be applied in a checkpoint and it may help you to declare to the searcher in a very very gentle tone and a meek countenance. Just my piece of opinion.

@pinoyapache. Thank you Sir for the reply. This just dawn on me, since I've been carrying my EDC gears, for several years already, but never did I encounter any issues with it. The items are in the bag anyways and tuck away in an organizer. Save for one occasion where I did have to deposit my multi-tool that I was carrying at that time, when I traveled to Mindanao last Christmas.
