the same sentiments here! Wagas and the rest of his cohorts wants to own Compostela!!!! Shame on them... kulang na lang mag people's revolt para mapawagtang nang mga tawhana diha sa compostela...

My family was a strong supporter of Danggoy before but after he had an accident and ran for the mayoral position again, my mom thought...well it's time to move one...we need a more able-bodied and younger mayor to see changes. And so my mother declared she's supporting the Wagases in the 2007 election...and so he won. The supporters of Danggoy did nothing but to accept their fate. My mom was very much hopeful of a more progressive Compostela. And then projects came:

1. the construction of the birthing center
2. The so called beautification of the municipal compound - with the unfinished cultural bldg and fire station
3. and other so called projects

but things is yet to unveil their secrets. some of the anomalies (to which I have no proofs but are substantially supported by what you see day by day) are:

1. the disconnection of the electrity supply for the light posts
2. the delays of the salaries of the birthing center crews
3. the debt in newspaper companies for unpaid publication of their pictures (This is very much true because my mom went to The Freeman on January 2010 to ask for help because of my daughter's upcoming operation and a woman my mom knew, approached her to ask where the mayor is because the town have pending debts to clear because of publications. An example was when the "Virgin Mary from Simala" came to the town. Pictures of the blessed Virgin were published - and take note -- with the mayor's family picture taken inside the church at the bottom.

Questions is: Why can't the Wagases accept their defeat? Back when it was the previous administration before them failed, the then-mayor have accepted it whole-heartedly. Unsay naa sa Compostela nga di man mabuhian sa mga Wagas? During the meeting-de-avances daghan kaayo sa Quiño compared sa Wagas - it was held on the same night and others did came to each party's venue to compare the supporters' count. (kato didto sa amo kay hinakot man gikan sa laign lugar ang sa Wagas.)

I am not a die-hard supporter of any candidate but knowing what is happening makes me think, unsay naa sa among lungsod?

^^^ Sis, wala nay nabilin sa atong lungsod kay gihurot na ang kaban sa atong lungsod nila...

But it is just so frustrating that Quino's camp isn't pushing the pedals hard to resolve the issue the soonest. But what else do I know, wala man sad jud noon pud ta kabalo unsa jud ila plans ron esp. nga nagkadeteriorate na ang overall economic situation sa lungsod...

Anyway moabot ra ang time ni Ritchie and his cohorts... He will be soon shipped to his older brother's cell for another malversation of public funds conviction...

To all istoryans who intends to travel up north, just be cautious from estaca to town proper... I have an accident 2 months ago, which left a motorist badly injured (he rammed at my car's tailgate claiming wa cya kakita sa ako sakyanan tungod sa kangitngit!)... And I almost ran over a man on his bicycle, me not able to notice his presence on the road because of the lack of street lights dira jud before sa estaca...
