yah naa...teens who are usually joining Cosplays are Anime Addicts (and I'm one of them)... We just like to follow the outfits of our favorite anime character and bring home some bacon after the contest...

@prettylily its an expression of self and also a fan who just want to relieve their anime memories.. you wont get it if you dont appreciate animation in the first place..
