.... dili ang gun ban ang maka reduce sa crime rate

Criminals don't respect Gun Ban or the Law of the Land.
Guns used in crimes are most often not licensed unless stolen from Licensed Gun Owners.

Crime rates go Down during Gun Ban because Police are under the Control by the COMELEC.
Directives are in place to conduct regular COMELEC CHECK POINTS which our PNP-AFP has to comply.

But it is also noted that many ASSASINATIONS happened during the Gun Ban since criminals are aware their Law Abiding targets are not carrying firearms because their Permit to Carry Firearms Outside their Residences are suspended.

Police/Civilian ratio is 1:800 ............ salig ra nato atoang security and safety nila?

Our Gun Control Laws in the Philippines is one of the most stringent in the world.
It is Lack of Implementation as usual,

Try going to some places in Mindanao with Clan Conflicts.
What kept their peace is that both Clan knows they are armed.
Remove the balance and Oppression sets in.

Do the research how many people are slaughtered in countries with their Government imposing Total Gun Ban. You will be surprised to know its in hundred of thousands.

One can learn from President Obama, who has a history of gun control. He's very unpopular with gun owners and gun associations.

Obama supported Washington, D.C.'s handgun ban, and during the long years of the ban, Washington's murder rate went up and was mostly above the national average.

When the Supreme Court decided that the ban was unconstitutional, he revised his position in support of the decision overturning the law. He said "Today's decision reinforces that if we act responsibly, we can both protect the constitutional right to bear arms and keep our communities and our children safe."

    Furthermore...

Obama: "I have always believed that the Second Amendment protects the right of individuals to bear arms... The Supreme Court has now endorsed that view."

Obama's Democrats (which have many anti-gun advocates) lost badly the House of Representatives in this month's election. At the same time, 9 senatorial candidates and 41 house candidates endorsed by the GOA (Gun Owners of America) won.

If Obama wants to keep his job, he should convince other anti-gun advocates to open their minds and realize that gun control causes more harm than good, and realize that guns can also save lives. Oh yeah, anti-gun people should respect the Second Amendment in America's Constitution.
