A question to those NCLEX Passers

Hi Istoryans,


I just have a quick question on how you can properly study for the NCLEX exam? I am on a self study mode, and I can't decide which topic to tackle first, and how will I go with the studying for a day. Should I study one field first, e.g. Adult, then have a different topic tomorrow? Need some hints please... Thanks..

akong gibuhat sauna kay ga study ko sa saunders katong blue nga book with cd, kay puro mn basic. ga start kog fundamentals...then after nkog study ana nga day, mg QA ko. naa koy target unsay learning kelangan nko per day then naa jud nay QA aron ma check nko kung nakat on bajud ko. then so on so forth nana. naa koy calendar ug kanus a akong target date mahuman nko per system. pg abot sa medsurg, naa koy budget per system. for example sa digestive disorders, 7days naxa puro study mode, nya ig ika 7th day, mo exam kog digestive disorders ug balig 100 kabuok items. kung molapas kog 75 or kaabot kog 75, kay mo move kog lain topic. kung below 65 ko, mo add kog lain days lets say..3 days napud. so on so forth.

kng unsa imo style sa pagtuon bro pag board exam nmo ky mao lng ghapon buhata... bacn nya if mag.change kag style ky mka.hinder sa imo review process...

the suggestion above is something to consider sad. basta comfortable lng ka sa ana na learning system. if not, find a strategy that u feel comfortable pra d ka magkadambolaag....

and always rest atleast 15 mins for every hr. then eat something sweet (that is kng d ka diabetic) ky makahatag mana nmo energy pag tuon n d ka laayan especially self study rka

para nako pinaka best ang classroom setting style na review. you're motivated to go higher because naa kay sense of competitiveness with people around you. di ra kinahanglan na mag review center ka. pwede ra ka makituon with other self studying people unya mag test kunohay mo with similar questions.

find a system that worked on u b4...kung wa then u have to learn to discipline urself sa.

ako, i did a self study while teaching...hehehe, lisod and wa pa gani nako na human tanan in strict essence. i started with the test questions everyday and just to allocate 2hrs ky ang retention capacity sa brain ky 2hrs ra the most. i did not read the theory per category but went directly sa book questions ug dili pa ang CD pod. i tend to do the Nursing Process identification sa book reviewer so i wud know which of the choices i need to eliminate. i read the stem question and formulate possible answers in my mind without looking at the choices yet. then i do process of elimination. if i get a mistake then i review the part at the theory area. i did this because i dont have time. if u got the liberty to read the theory first, i think it is best too to give u a bit of a refresher...

BTW, forget about philippine setting and always do the ideal. wat situations u read in the books are actually happening here in america. KEY to success is PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE with understanding!
