    far fetched.....

with the amount they paid for Mang Inasal.
it would take at least 7 years to get back their money.
So they will go slow on acquisitions. They have to absorb Mang Inasal first.

If I were Jolibee. I would have bought JOs Inato and open branches.
but then again jolibee was racing for time. Their sales was affected by Mang Inasal. They were willing to pay that price

    N.B.
Jolibee already owns Chowking, Red Ribbon, Greenwhich, and now Mang Inasal.
That is more than what they can handle

@cheaptech unsa imo basis nga more than they could handle
    Jolibee is a big company
i bet they also did a marketing and feasibility studies before doing this
at the rate they are growing
this would mean they have a very competent management team

try to take into consideration apple
it takes in companies which have tech that can be beneficial to them

    @albrecht
dli baligya....but if it is a very generous offer im sure naa jud second thoughts
    just think of it
kung ang offer is buyout + they keep there current branches

BUYOUT = usually this means a lot of money hehehe

Actually Jolibees Growth has slowed down considerably.

They had to buy Mang inasal which was growing faster and has become their 1 competitor.
Extremely FAR FETCHED buying a Coffee chain.....
As I said they haven't fully absorbed Mang inasal yet...... they will be very busy....

Well, that would be a good move for both, provided the owner of Bo's will be happy with the offer. Sounds like a win-win to me.

Jollibee needs to counter the McCafe's, and Bo's will give them an instant answer. Both Jollibee and Bo's are local brands so this would be ideal for Jollibee. Jollibee will also be able to market the Bo's brand aggressively. IMHO Bo's has been falling far far behind international brands like Starbucks and CB&TL. The same management team that beat McDo locally could make it competitive again.

If McDo has McCafe's, will we see a JolliBo's? LOL

yeah i know that if they'd plan to buyout bo's it would be a very very generous offer considering Bo's already has a name of its own.. if jollibee's offer wouldn't be that great why would they even second thoughts of selling their name for just a cheap offer..

you mean to say by "haven't fully absorbed" that jollibee is buying out Mang inasal right now..? whoaw there!!! but nevertheless, mang inasal is a great threat to their business..
