    Default DG31PR Thermal Trip

im using E7500 on a stock heatsink on an Intel DG31PR with updated BIOS, after 1 hour of playing games like, dota, nfs shift or hawx my pc shuts down, it then beeps twice when i reboot it then gives me a Thermal Trip error. when i ran HW monitor, temps will rise to 60 degrees in more or less an hour, i tried opening both sides of the chassis then got an industrial fan on, set to the maximum number and directed it to the side facing the board and its components. i ran hawx in max settings (using a 22" samsung) out of curiosity, i touched the CPU heatsink and interestingly it was cool, but the northbridge heatsink was hot.

any thoughts on this istoryans? any thoughts on this is gladly appreciated... thnx

There you go. You got served.

Really. Intel Mobos+G31 = Recipe for a water heater. Most of my experience with the DG31PR never ends without noticing that NB/SB is too hot.

after playing resource hungry games unya bugnaw lang gihapon imo'ng CPU heatsink?

basin dili maayo pagka taud/install imo'ng CPU heatsink, dapat moinit gyud na siya kung properly seated ang imo'ng heatsink after playing those games...

my suggestion: reseat cpu heatsink and apply good thermal paste

i suggest i reseat na imo hsf sa mobo chipset,,, kani raba uban technician sa shop imbis na sa sides gunitan ang motherboard, ang hsf baya gunitan inig handling nila,,,,

check pud ang contact between cpu and hsf, make sure remove old paste before putting in new one,,,
