Ngano kaha ang mga Pinoy, if they go to a certain country like US they behave like an angel. They don't spit anywhere nor pee anywhere. Even sa Saudi Arabia, ang mga Filipino mga behave kaayo. But when they come home to the Philippines, back to the old ways na. Ihi bisag asa (either pader or puno) ug mo spit everywhere. Filipinos have no respect for their own country. Tsk tsk tsk

.. try to spit or pee anywhere in Saudi, for sure you'll have one hell of a lashing or one of your digits cutted off. Most of my colleagues work in Middleeastern countries, and their common comment is GRABI KA ISTRIKTO DIDTO OI . But, there's a positive outcome to it, all of my friends when they go home are more disciplined and courteous.

i got a freind who got smack on the face and berated by the muttawa police in saudi he said he was just looking on the attractive eyes of a saudi woman in a coffe shop....the woman and his accompany male must have misinterpret it for something like a pervert...

It only goes to show that we Filipinos can accept and appreciate discipline... we have the capacity and intellect to understand and follow rules and regulations to the letter... and discipline is what we as parents try to impose on our children so that they will grow up to be good children and good citizens of the Republic in the future.

What is wrong then?

In other countries we see laws being strictly implemented and all violators equally punished... sad to say in our case we have lots of rules and regulations that have been enthusiastically promulgated with the best of intentions and strictly implented .... but only for a few months... then easily forgotten and relegated to oblivion (seatbelt law, gun laws, anti-littering, jay-walking, anti-squatters... etc. etc.) Tapos na kasi ang purpose na grandstanding ng politician...

Puro- ningas kugon!

Not a few say they welcomed the discipline imposed by martial law during its early stage... when everybody cooperated and followed simple laws and regulations... and they say it was good... but of course it deteriorated in the end because of abuse of authority.

Going back I believe that all of us Filipinos, deep in our hearts wish our country to be the best disciplined and orderly country in the world...

How can we start?

Maybe we can start from our own cubicle, researching on all those municipal ordinances... spring them out from the dust bins... remind our ka-barangays of their existence and then help our local law enforcers enforce them.

I think ang mga naghimo anan kay kato raman ang wala kaadto sa lain country. When i was in europe molabay man ko og cigaret butts anywhere, and i dont care coz its not my country hehehe. Pero if naa ko sa Pinas diciplinado man ko.

simple ra akong answer ani, kay dili man ilaha ang teritoryo. mao nang mag-binuotan na sila sa ubang nasud. ang problema sa pilipino is mga gahi og ulo. mao nang dili jud mo-asenso.
