(The point is the bible can be a dangerous tool to justify violence) as well as the Qur'an.... catholics do not worship mary or the saints or stones or whatever u can think of. this is usualy used by anti catholics to link it to paganism and not following the comandments but we honor them.worhip and honor are two different things. any convinced catholic know this..hehehe!!!!

sure any book can be taken to the extreme. It was a counter point to Catholics who think that the bible is immune to extremists' violent alibis.

sure, you can worship or honor any saints even kneel before Mary and ask her intercession, you can do all that and everything the bible prohibits and still be a Christian

with regards to the natives... the CHURCH had been a major Douchebag.. kung motoo ka, ok.. kung dili, patyon ka.. btaw wui.. if you weren't a catholic before, you had no access to services which otherwise would improve your quality of life....

it destroyed ancient beliefs and customs.. in says that there is no other way except the catholic way..

So can I safely say that if the church does good... then it was the church... pero if it does bad things then it was because of a person who acted on his own?

How do we differentiate officially sanctioned church actions from the personal actions of its members? Guess the Inquisition, Holy Wars were personal actions too huh? All those Pope's who didn't do good things... I guess they also acted on their own right?

Para nako... the church is just like any political organization... it is made up of human beings and is prone to error. Church decisions are actually done via committee... whether its the conclave or the CBCP decision... its just a bunch of people with their own little faults and imperfections... its just like politics... pero the problem is that these people claim to speak for a higher divine power... and assert their divine authority over everyone else.

the church in concept is generally good and for the benifit of mankind... sadly.. those running it are benefiting from mankind..
