    I still have this problem.

Ok ra man ni nako, pero mogamit man gud ako duha ka manghud ani (nagplano ko tudlu-an unsaon sila pag-configure sa BIOS). I just bought a 500GB Seagate SATA HDD and I was planning on transferring all my files from my old 160GB IDE HDD nya usahon na lang ka drive ang 160GB kay duha man to ka partitions.

The problem is kung ako to i-usa na lang ang drive, mawa na to ang OS sa kato nga drive then kung mabuang na pud ang CMOS ug i-press lang ang F2 which my siblings always do para ma-set to default ang tanan then mo-boot dayon karaan nga drive, then ok na dayon. Ang ako man gud gusto sa SATA permi mag-boot.

Nagpalit na ko'g battery for CMOS. It was a Maxell I bought sa baligyaanan og mga relo didto Countrymall (gikan ko sa Interpace palit og additional RAM).

When I got home, I replaced the 3-year-old CMOS battery and I was hoping everything's gonna be fine, but unfortunately, mao ra gihapon...

I was planning on downloading the latest BIOS Update from Asus for my mobo nya i-flash nako with my thumbdrive. Makulbaan lang ko kay basin di nya matarong then ma-corrupt ang BIOS... apil pud og kabuang ako motherboard. Basin mokalit lang pud og kawala ang kuryente... patay jud ko ani.

    Got this from somewhere...

There are usually three main reasons that a CMOS Checksum Bad Error has occurred. They include:
    • CMOS Battery not functioning properly (mana na nako og ilis sa battery)
    • Your BIOS has been updated (either by you or possibly a virus) (I don't really think so...)
    • The computer was shut down improperly (e.g. shutting off the computer's power without first shutting down the computer (MS Windows requires you to shut down your computer before shutting off the power). (I really think this caused the problem)

My thoughts... Remember when I shared to you about my late PSU? Guba man to ako PSU pero mo-on gihapon to... nya ako gipulihan og dili na generic brand.

During that time nga nag-troubleshoot ko, sige ko ON..OFF..ON..OFF sa akong PC. Na-corrupt jud nako ang CMOS settings.

Pagka-way ayo! Unta masulbad pa ni.

try daw load defaults sa bios bro...

try daw ka2 hard reset sa cmos by removing the cmos batt then imo short and jumper 2-3 (CLR CMOS) simultaneously pressing the power button for around 15 sec then after that you wait for around 5-10min before plugging it back then try putting it ON. make sure u unplug everything before ka mag try ani.

mao naka solve sa ako sa una k2 other asus nga mobo.. pero karon naa sadko ani nga prob wala madala ani nga method i thnk naa guba sa board murag na bend kay usahay dili ma detect akong built-in sound kinahanglan us pisliton para maduot ang mga pins niya to make sound... lose contact knahanglan e-hot air pani ang audio i.c. na built-in nya tan-awon pasad nako uban parts basin naay prob.
