Smart Bro Wimax, sony vaio problem, please help

I've three bars in the wimax modem but i dont have internet access in my vaio vpccw26fg (i5). i tried the wimax on a different laptop and it worked fine. the smart bro guy told me there's a problem with my lan card or its configuration. if anyone is familiar with this problem and can suggest what needs to be done, please help... thanx

have you tried resetting your windows 7 firewall setting to default? just search using win7's online help on how to do it.
