if the rumors are true, wherein so far, sakto siya... then the 6970 would be better than the 5870. i think it would also be a filler card between the 5970 and 5870. if this is the case, then i would expect the prices to be stable. murag walay mahitabo nga price decrease ani...

hehehe my 5870 is still the winner v/s 6870, but i guess those power consumption is the one pushing me the upgrade itch...lol
Nothing yet. It's being released first in the UK then maybe 3-6 weeks later naa na diri.
If AMD hasn't killed the 5770 and 5830 yet, they should do it now. These two cards is the card that we call the "HD 6870". To be honest, before AMD released the 5830, the gap between the 5770 and the 5850 was waaay too much - prompting AMD to release a botched up 5830.
Please AMD, spare us the naming confusion. I would be really happy to see that you create variants for the 5850, 5870 and the 5970 for the high end market, NO MORE, NO LESS.
On the other side, I'm not buying this one yet. I think I'll just wait for the Caveman Cayman if its 32nm AND they better make sure it is 32nm. Why? Because if Cayman is still 45nm, do you have any idea how long and crazy the cards will be? Look at the size of the 6870...
