...answering my own q here:
Its apparently available in Malaysia now. RM 700 and 790 for the 6850 and 6870 respectively. The GTX460 1 GB costs around RM 700. So 6850 and GTX460 same price more or less, and that equates to around PHP9,800. (MR1.00 = +-PHP14.00)
Now how much better (if so) is the 6850 compared to the GTX460 1gb?

The HD6850 is expected to be faster than the HD5830 and the GTX 460 beats the HD5830 so performance difference between the HD6850 vs GTX 460 could be quite minimal.

The link that I posted a while ago and before the item became unavailable, the 6870 was around 11k-13k. Sounds like they're really forcing the 6870 to replace the 5850 instead of the 5770 basing on the prices of these cards upon their respective release dates.

Price range update
These are pretty low prices for a UK retailer and I believe this is not going to be the regular prices. Pero like what I sad, the 6870 is going to be around 11-13k.
