hey bro, akong baby kasuway gani 4 days wla popo.. purely breastfed pud diay cya by the way.. my pedia says it's normal ra nga dli kalibang ang babies for pila ka days.. basta gaining well lang cya.. it's just that ilang digestive system nag-adjust lang daw.. ako na research nga techniques sa net nga makapa-help ug libang are..
1. trying to bicycle baby's legs
2. try inserting a rectal thermometer, lubricated of course - makastimulate sa defecation reflex
3. giving baby Karo syrup (something like that), or prune juice..
..i tried doing the first two but otot rman ang resulta.. haha. last resort nako was i gave my baby Dulcolax suppository as per doctor's order on the 5th day na.. boom! libang lage.. hehe. ang consistency sa nigawas nga stool was same as before ra man.. after that back to regular na iyang pag popo..
i don't think the lack of fiber sa maternal diet has anything to do with it.. fiber isn't absorbed by the mother, hence not formed in the milk.. regarding water, it's not necessary man daw to give water to small babies nga purely breastfed, kay tendency is mabusog sila and they won't take the milk anymore.. makulang na nuon sa nutrients..
if your pedia is not concerned, there's no reason you should be.. unless naa jud kay gut instinct nga something is wrong.. if mao na, get 2nd opinion nlang..
