    Default Scuba Diving is ...

a gentle sport. Fun. Exciting. Full of adventure, yet safe. Not as expensive as many think it is. What do you think?

much more expensive than trekking/camping. not for those who want to lose weight; not strenuous. very relaxing, good reliever of stress

    you're right, it's more expensive than trekking/camping.

but cousteau once said that 'one can see more animals in 10 minutes of diving than in 10 hours in a rain forest'. (i miss the exact words)

also, have read somewhere that one can lose around 800 calories per dive. dunno how true, and don't have any way of knowing.

very relaxing indeed, and time does fly (swim) fast.

    thanks.

swimming, by itself, is a great -- perhaps the best -- exercise. but it also makes the body store more fat. (at 140 lb maybe i should swim more frequently). diving, with the gentle strokes of fins, is simply slow swimming -- underwater. as an exercise, diving is at the bottom of my list. as a recreation, it's 2nd from the topmost.

i've not been to tubbataha. so far hilutungan has been the best site i've seen.

You may go to your certifying instructor for that, makatabang jud na siya nimo.

Or email PADI, if you are PADI certified, and ask for what to do. They surely will assist you.

Or perhaps take an Advanced Course aron bag-o ang imong license ug upgraded pa.

Hilutungan is nice. But i wonder if anyone has noticed any difference when the koreans started running it, maintenance wise. Murag daghan na man guba na corals.

    How about Talima? Nalusuan?
