Why are headlights of multicabs always on High Beam?

Tungod na nga ang alignment sa headlights ana is for right hand drive countries (i.e. Japan, where the CKD units come from) where mas higher ang left side nga beam compared sa right. Only way to prevent glare in this situation is to adjust the headlight to make it lower than the normal aim. Or buy new left hand drive reflectors/headlights.

Something like this:

Right hand drive headlight beam (Japan, U.K., New Zealand, etc)


Left hand drive headlight beam (Philippines, U.S.A., Taiwan)

In addition to norrisee explanation,

Either you are an LHD or RHD, the higher beam always points to the pedestrian lane. So if your unit is RHD originally from Japan, then it aims higher at left because that is the pedestrian side in Japan and at the same time reducing glare on its opposing lane at Right. This is vice versa for LHD in the Philippines where our headlight ihas higher beam angle to the right because thats the pedestrian side. This is design to see the pedestrian more. That is why coverted vehicle (Pajero or multicab) aims his headlight on you if you are facing him becoz you are on his opposite side (or rather you are supposed to be pedestrian side originally).

If you will notice the lense of LHD headlight (both left and right) you will see that the lense design of both side are in one direction they will be pointing more or distributed more on the right side (pedestrian side). This is vice versa to RHD too.

But talking about ngano deli mag LOW BEAM ang multicab drivers... wala nako kabalo sa explanation ana hehehe...

Actually wala man namo gi initan ang multicab, if you backread thru the posts you will notice that I'm explaining my side as to why it seems that they are always on high beam.

I also believe that it is also your responsibility as a forumer to backread through the discussion before reacting or commenting.

And since this IS a forum, posts regarding "multicab having high beams" doesn't mean that YOU are always on high beam or your lights are misaligned. So no need to get defensive.

informative kaayu ni nga forum pero dah... uban imbis mu basa ug mag kat-on, masuko man nuon...

kung maka sugat tag naka high beam unya di mu low beam, kita nalang ang mu piyung.. gamiton nalang nato atong 6th sense dala tagna - tagna sa dalan.
