    Daghang salamat! =)
Ina Reformina of ABS-CBN is a graduate of Mass Communication in Silliman University. I have a lot of Mass Comm classmates before, and when we were still studying. Many are active members of the Debating team, Silliman TV Channel ( UTV now) and part of Silllimanian Weekly, the school's newspaper. One classmate even got a scholarship in Japan. He was, of course, one of the best in their batch. As far as, the instructors, their really good in their field. I was under Dr. Cecilia Genove, she is probably the best. She reminds me of Miriam Defensor-Santiago, fluent, eloquent and articulate. All I can say, Mass Comm students of Silliman University, they are very active in school activities. I believe fellow Sillimanian will agree with me. Maybe they do it for exposure, but their always visible, be it the school's paper, debating, Student government, etc. My complained before was, why in the world my MassComm classmate is always the emcees...

As far as Dorm life, there are many activities be it religious or civics, plus you get to know other students in different dormitories. One dormitory is near the Men's dormitory, ahhaahha. so cool, just kidding. Dormitory for women are inside the campus so it is accessible to your class, library, Jollibee( there is a Jollibee in Silliman's property) and since it is located inside, it well guarded by the security. UP ang atmosphere...

Silliman is always one of the top ten schools in the Philippines, and Mass Comm's location probably do not have a building like the other colleges, but is occupying one of the oldest and meaningful building in the campus. Plus it is near the Finance and Register building, believe me this will come handy come enrollment time..hhahahah And it is near the school's cafeteria and the Engineering's building. Some of the most good-looking guys study there..hahahhaha My favorite, it is near the sea, you can see the ocean...

Dara ai... Anyone got a better pic of the front facade? These two really do not provide a good reference of how it looks.

I found a photo of the The Wall in front of Doltz, and I have to admit, if this was indeed the last "version" of the Wall, that it is not as artistic and as colorful as what we had back then...

I'm not sure if nag Nursing siya before nag Mass Comm. I know sa HS and college sa Silliman na ni siya. She used to be under Dr. Genove, which happened to be my Speech Professor, madalas mag share man ni si Dr. Genove about Ina , but I can't remember if naka share ba siya na nag Nursing... Clueless ko.

Yep. Looks like my memory has not failed me! LOL.

See romantic_guys08's post here (No. 33)...

    ... and this one.
This is the 1995 All-Unversity Extemporaneous Speaking Contest. One of the highlights of my College Life. Why? becuase I won First Place! (yabang!). Right hand most is Jamil Zoobi of the College of Business Administration, Dinah Baseleres of A/S, Nicel Dinoy of High School, Jayson Alcantara of CBA (third place), Best Friend (hehehehe) Rowena Reformina of Nursing (second place, remeber the loook on her face when she was called as second placer only? hehehehe), I forgot the name of PT representative, Ian Caballes of Music, and Tonette Lim of the College of Engineering.(not in the Photo was Beth Castillo who at that time was already preparing her speech
    And here's a controversial one - (Post no. 17,189):
hoist, dili ate bunns uy! she was ahead of me. she finished her 4th year nursing in 1997 but I heard she didn't graduate due to a controversy during her reign as SU Student Government President. I dunno if tinuod. I remember perfectly that she used her "Kisses" as one tactic to win the presidency, as in literally, hehehe.
