    if you buy a bond fund, the risk involved is very minimal especially if your fund manager (FM) is quite conservative.. theyl juz invest it in government issued bonds. however, if you go for an equity fund, the risk depends on the FM. Aggressive FMs invest the fund in growth companies hoping for a potential high yield while the conservative ones invest it in blue chips (e.g. Ayala, San Miguel, etc.) with relatively lower risk.

    I categorically disagree with this. Please note that there are different kinds of mutual funds depending on the level of risk that the investor is comfortable to take. I think what R. Kiyosaki was referring is the equity fund, which I agree is quite risky. But if you invest in a bond fund, the level of risk is nil, esp. if most of the funds are invested in the government issued bonds.

    As what i heard from Robert Kiyosaki he said,

    " Mutual funds are almost Popular of all investment vehicle in the history. i often ask why i dont recommened them.. I will explain it right now. Mutual Funds are primarily design for people who have This type of education (ACADEMICS) & (PROFESSIONAL) as i said in my previous lecture "

    "thier are 3 basic type of education that are required for financial success in the real word, Thats

    academics,

    Professional

    & financial.

    "Our schools teaches little in Financial investor education, So My poor dad said the important is ACADEMIC & Professional, While my Rich Dad said Financial education is important.."

    " So to answer the question of mutual Funds here it goes, If you only have this this two type of education (academics & Professional) Then Mutual fund is perfect for you That where thier design for.."

    " If you want to invest in other investment vehicles, in most cases it will require more on Financial Education,"

    " Its not Financial education that you could learn from the classroom , it is financial education That is

    * Mental
    * Technically you know
    * Emotional
    * as well Physical you have to do something

    So Mutual Funds are great for this people (ACademic & Professional) But i personally would not invest on them or bet my financial future or retirement funds and the reason for that.

    as we fund out ..

    But most of all Investor knows this .. Any Market has 3 basic trends
    * up trend * down trend * sideways trend also called Bulls, Bears & Channel market.

    "mutual funds in most cases do well in (Up trend) bull market , and they Take hammering in bears (down market), thats why i dont like them. The mutual funds i known , lose lose so rapidly its crash in mid of march 2000. the problem of mutual funds is give you no personal control, over your financial future, either markets goes up you do well, Market goes down you lose, you lose in the channeling market. Thats why i dont like mutual funds they give you no control ."

    " if you like control of your financial destiny , you had to have financial education thats where richdad.com comes in that give you financial education, to take control of your financial education."
