nah. ambot lang jud. there are people who don't mind. there are people who don't give a f***. and there are people who find it repulsive. i guess it depends on how you were brought up by your parents/guardians as a person, from a toddler to what you are now. there are children who are brought up to be open-minded, and there are those who are taught to insult/bash homosexuals, bisexuals and trannies, and others taught to just mind their own business.

different families have different beliefs, norms and standards. take the Rednecks in the States for instance. they are almost always portrayed as gay-haters, black-haters and haters of people who are not white diba? some of them are even doers of hate crimes.

personal opinion nimo, ang ako sad... Generalize, I'm just stating an observation. Often generalization is a representation of the whole, there are exceptions but nonetheless, it is very close to what everybody is..

Colby, do you have gay friends? I mean really close friends as in you grew up with ... or cousins, maybe? If so, maybe you could ask them that. Being in a forum where your expression is limited only to what you type, you come off as being offensive even when you say you are not.

Although, I share your sentiments na duna sad jud mga lesbians ug gay people na damak pero there are gays and lesbians that are not. I have a few friends who are professional and very good, upstanding members in the community.

Yes, I have gay friends. aSK them what why they are gays or lesbians?? They often say, ' since birth", " na realize na lang," ..It doesn't make sense to me, but I don't argue with them, for what? Yes, some are professionals and good member of the communities. But doesn't change anything on how I see things. At the end of the day, we know what they are. I salute others for being successful, but their lifestyle is still unacceptable for me.

and for the record, if you say lesbian, it doesn't mean you have to act and dress like a guy..there are diffirent types of lesbian..dili na nimo mailhan ang uban..and not all lesbians tend to be aggressive and possessive..some of them are discreet and sensitive, etc..

they're normal people. the only difference is that they like the same gender..they are professional, they're successful in their chosen careers and people don't have the right to judge them..they are still human beings..

That is the problem, if you do not accept them, they label you as close-minded.

They can inspire other people, professional, not aggressive, not possessive, etc. But doesn't change anything on how I see them..Sorry just being honest.

To everyone who is contributing to this thread and to those who are merely reading it, Colby's post is a small representation of what the majority of people think of gays and lesbians. It is still widely unaccepted. People have not embraced the concept of homosexuality.

Isn't it the reason why Ashley started the thread in the first place? Kay nahadlok siya unsa unya ang reaction sa family and close friends. The 2nd to the last sentence of this post just confirms this fear.

Thanks sandman for explaining. That is what I mean, my comment is not unique or one of its kind. Ask other people and many will give the same comment as I do. Others prefer to be give a safe answer. Guess what TS, I'm not...I prefer to give my honest view with regard to this topic.

I'm actually minding my own business, when I post my comment I even say no offense cause I know many will react. and I'm right. That is my own view and I'm standing by it. Sorry I think it is repulsive. I can't use other words, I wish I can but that is how I look things.

hahahahahha, shocking , dili maka sabot na Psychology, even Psychologist are biased and have their own opinion. The thing is if you are Psychologist you help people but you avoid your biases and own views. Kay it is the most normal thing in the word to have our own biases and opinions. Not only sa issue na ni. Informed opinion, of course. The thing is the teachings of my church overshadow the things I learn in school. Psychology focuses so much on behavioral, sciences, etc. Not so much on morality. That is why this topic is debatable and endless, there are different sides, at the end of the day you make your own decision. And i'm glad I have.
