when the talk of akitas..they just talk simply of akitas
but the japanese is very strict with this...and i believe the japanese is somehow right,
since akitas came from japan

again the point here is not whether one is better than the other
but whether an Amerikan akita is the same as the Japanese akita

so the standard for showtype is the American?!
you can really see the face of the japanese...
especially the concern on the showtype standards

hmm ^^ guys i just found out in face book sa ila fan page about akitas ^^ sa american akitas ba they jst call them as akitas ^^ for the japanese akitas they call them akita inu ^^ para d daw mag libog ang mga tao ^^

i agree with these statement.they have a different look specially towards the head type,coat & some,the tailset.in fact the american akita is re-named by the Japanese Kennel Club (& some other club's,as well) as the GREAT AMERICAN DOG or Bear dog,and would compete with the Japanese akita in a show,as a different breed.for more infos,try to look at the comparison of Joan brearley's book, the complete book of the akita.
