Im newbie here my problem is im going to update my winxp home edition to SP1 is it possible... what the steps to update my winxp to sp1... i really appreaciate ...

yes it's possible if there are no hardware issues.
but i suggest you upgrade to SP2 co'z support for SP1/SP1a will end this Oct. 2006 -> http://support.microsoft.com/gp/lifean19

**Very impt: before you update your XP Home to SP2,
1. Make sure there are no issues with your hardware. especially your motherboard.
2. Make sure you have a backup of all your impt file located at your system drive. This is in case something goes wrong and you can't load your XP home anymore.
3. Prepare all your installers (application and device drivers) just in case.
