gud day to you sir , im not a very techi person and i may need some advice before purchasing anything about cpu: i want to upgrade my processor but im not sure if any processor wud be compatible to my cpu.so here's the details of my unit and plz tell me if its capable to have and upgrade of your processor coz il then purchase it.

OS Windows xp professional
System Model GeForce6100PM-M2
System Type x86-based PC
Processor x86 Family 15 Model 127 stepping 2 Authentic AMD ` 2210Mhz
Total Physical Memory : 1,024 MB
Available Physical Memory : 316.50 MB
Total Virtual Memory : 2.00 GB
Hard drive : Maxtor 6E040L0 40 GB

i would like my cpu to run much faster and smoother,so plz give me some advice what to upgrade and whats compatible : processor , RAM , hard drive. your advice will truly be appreciated,

all i can suggest to your unit is this:

first: replace your HDD to SATA because your Maxtor 6E040L0 is quite slow(still an IDE) many available cheap sata HDD in the market as of now...(cost around 2k-2.5k)

second(optional): for better performance, add another 1GB memory(cost 1k-1.4k)

third(optional): if you want smooth grafix, purchase a low profile video card(cost 2k-2.5k), if you are a mild gamer one, you can have not so hi-end one cost only(3k-4k) just ask the techie staff in the store that you wanna buy a video card that is 1gb of memory with 128bit

nyway , bwt the processor , do you think its compatible with my system coz if so , i would have to purchase the item as well..
