    Default HDD capacity


    Did you know why your OS states much lower capacity of your drives than what was printed on the label?

    manufacturers label drives in decimal notation(base 10)
    the computers use binary system (base 2)

    Kanang gibutang na label sa hdd kay dili jud na mao ang exact na capacity.

    Decimal : 1Mb = 1,000,000 bytes
    Binary : 1Mb = 1,048,576 bytes
