mao gani pod.. kanang mga gapasiugda ug walk2x...
it would be better to always remind their members/attendees
to not to neglect their dogs' annual vaccinations...
and not to bring puppies under 4mos para safe sa tanan.
i hope theyre doing it to help lessen the proliferation of distemper cases in the city.

we had the same case, a 2-month old puppy was diagnosed with distemper last 2 weeks ago. at first pasimple lang nga ubo, sip on og mutaon, then we were worried kay naa nay rashes and all, di na kiat, so we brought him to the vet. he was unvaccinated pa when we brought him home. then sa among kaguol among gi dala sa vet, mag laboratory na unta to siya og sa dihang nag seizure man siya (chewing gum fit, the sign of distemper) mao gihunong ang laboratory and gi confirm dayon nga distemper. the vet told us wa daw tambal ang distemper, and the only thing we can do is supportive treatment. Kaluoy sa Diyos right now his appetite is still good, he has gained weight one week after we went to the vet, and he's doing well although di gihapon mi kompyansa. gi consistent lang namog sunod ang iyang mga antibiotics, immune booster syrup, loads of vitamin C, and tempra for his fever. right now ok iyang kaon, medyo kiat na siya unlike atong week nga nasakit siya, and no more seizure and all. i'm afraid the vet has misdiagnosed his disease (cause i was thinking he will sustain the neuro signs of distemper like seizures and muscle twitching) but magpasalamat ko if nasayop lang siya coz kuyaw kaayo uso jud daw ang distemper these days, naay new strain yata of the virus karon ingon akong classmate na vet. huhu

i read that if a dog has died of distemper in your household, you will have to wait for a minimum of one month before introducing a new puppy at home kay the virus is still in your house. everywhere nga nabutangan og respiratory secretion sa imong distemper dog before, ma pick up to nyag balik sa new puppy and siya napod masakit. ang distemper pwede sad daw aerosol meaning makuha sa hangin, so bantay2 gyud and friggin make sure the shots are complete and wait for a week before i lakaw lakaw ang puppy aron sure kang ok na iyang immune system before sya igawas.

distemper virus is airborne... so makuha siya even walay direct contact ang dog.
but the positive thing lang kay ang distemper virus easily die from simple exposure sa sunlight or bleach solution...
