there goes honda again with an underpowered bike, really marketed for this country.
people here are so fuel consumption wise with everything from bikes to cars.
cebu has just a small sports/naked - bike demand. how i wish honda phils would come out with some real bikes again

y? ive been riding my 1981 HONDA XL100s since I was 17 YO, it has a 100cc with a XL125 carburetor, rebor to 1 point only, and its still platino. that was way back in college days.
the bikes route is just Labangon, and USC-Main.

one day, i took a bike ride to consolacion to visit my sister hus now living there, while riding, i notice that the bike is reving alot along a straight highway specialy near tabok until ABS LANE. its like its been on the most hagard ride the bike has. mka louy paminawn ky nag cge syagit ang motor along the way. specialy sa tungas na part.

its was just a small ENDURO chassis on a 100cc engine. imagine the CB110, with a big body and a small engine. im not saying it cant tungas mandaue, i knw this bike has the latest technology to get more horse power compare to my bike. but my point is, ul never know u have to take the bike in a long ride, and wen that comes.. thats the time ul be thinking, i should have gotten a bigger displacement. I know its not always but ul never knw. mind as well prepare. or get a bike that can handle everything.

thats y, wen i started working, i bought 2 bikes of 200cc and above displacement.
atleast to carry my demands on the road.

this does not goes with the CB110 lang, this goes to all bikes with big chassis and small engine.

pero ayos nani oy, for a japan bike, 69K price is ok considering its a bigbike look.
But then bro, do not under estimate the 100cc's.. it can take you also to a long ride without any problem.

In your XL100 case.. nag syagit imong engine kay low gear man gud na mga enduro bike..

@danvincent999: i have minimal knowledge about MC's bro but i would guess the age of the bike and the fact that you've added some non-default mods on the engine would be a factor in your experience. also, as i understand it, enduro bikes are geared primarily with quick acceleration and agility in uneven roads in mind. so, on long, straight, flat roads, its engine is going to reach its power peak fairly quick which is probably why your bike was screaming. i could be wrong, though.

@necrotic freak: mag minaro man jud na sila bai because they are running a business. i am very impressed with honda products but i can never forget that they are a business. sales and profits are always going to be their bottomline. case in point: i am paying 90k for a 60k bike because i can only afford to pay in installments. pasalamat nalang ta nga, for that we get good quality for the price that we pay.

thats not even my point... im not comparing my old XL100 to any of the bikes, my point is the displacement. gees...

guys panghotana, do u think dli lowgear ang CB110? considering its heavy chassis?

btaw, wala mn jd ko nag kig debate ninyo noh.. nag sulti rmn jd ko na sayang lang jd. f para ninyo perfect ang motor, go ahead. pero d diay mo moagree na d cya sayang?

toyota avanza = honda cb 110

    big body, small engines...

but according to this... Honda Philippines | Motorcycles and Power Products

tan-awa ra gud ang honda beat, dry weight ana is 97.1 kg. compare it to the CB110 nga 100 kg. gamay ra man diperensiya... i don't think the wieght difference would affect the engine's performance... 2.9 kg ra diperensiya...unless ilumba then definitely weight would be a factor... plus i have ridden on one and it's lighter than it looks... dili ko kasulti nga mas bug-at siya kontra sa wave 100r... but then again this is relatively a new bike, it's real world performance is still a big question mark... hulat sa ta muabot ug 5 years and then we'll see... but it's a HONDA..

im not sure but i guess CB110 is not lowgear since it is a streetbike category. and its not that heavy as what you think.
