Not in favor of this also... the idea of connecting the 2 islands is enticing but I would have to disagree with the plan in terms of its feasibility. The initial cost of said bridge + maintenance costs and the location of the connecting areas (Jetafe) doesn't really give significant economic benefits.
Again, unlike SRP where net benefit is Lease/Sale of Land.. there's no direct way for the bridge to pay for itself. Also, given the local gov't jurisdiction who will pay for the maintenance of the bridge?
Mag conduct pa sila ug feasibility study noh. Dili lang nato dayon hukman kay dili man sad ta expert anang manga bahina. Wait lang ta, sila man ang expert. Para nako, if kani gyud ang i push through nga 90 km Cordova-Bohol bridge. Next to impossible ni. Pero, kung sundon ang plano base sa PROMDI of former Cebu Gov. Lito Osmena, nga 2000 reclamation of Cordova shoreline. Then, after that the Cordova-Bohol Bridge will follow. Mas feasible pa to, I guess.
If i pursue gyud ang Cebu-Negros Bridge, una pa nang mahuman kay sa Cebu-Bohol. Duol ra man ang Negros sa Cebu if ari ka sa Toledo mag base. Ang gamiton ana kay "Pontoon Bridge", as what Gov. Lito O. said. Floating Bridge na. Pwede ma operate if naay mo pass by nga barko. Mahipos hipos daw. I google lang for deeper understanding.
