as of now the greatest laker is still Magic Johnson
Why? he can play 1 to 5..
kobe
5 championships
1 regular season MVP
2 finals MVP
Magic
5 championships
3 regular season mvp
3 finals mvp
stats wise.. Magic is still better......
Magic Johnson belongs to the era of "foul songgo" .. physical kaayo ang era ni Magic..

Best Laker para nako kay si JERRY WEST. Looy lang kay murag natabonan sa fame ni Magic, Kobe, Kareem etc ang iyang contribution for the franchise.
Aside from these remarkable career stats,
Points - 25,192
Rebounds - 5,366
Assists - 6,238
he still continued his passion for the Lakers even after his retirement. He became the architect of the Lakers' 1980s & early 2000s dynasties.
NBA.com credits West as the general manager who created the great 1980s Lakers dynasty, which brought five championship rings (1980, 1982, 1985, 1987 and 1988 ) to Los Angeles.
After a slump in the early 1990s, West rebuilt the team of coach Del Harris around center Vlade Divac and guard Nick Van Exel, which won 48 games, and went to the Western Conference Semifinals; for turning the team around, West received his first Executive of the Year Award.
By trading Vlade Divac for Kobe Bryant, signing free agent center Shaquille O'Neal, and signing six-time NBA champion Phil Jackson as a coach, West laid down the fundaments of the Lakers three-peat which saw L.A. win three NBA titles from 2000 to 2002.
Jerry West - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
And even after he moved to Memphis to manage the Grizzlies, his heart was still attached to Los Angeles. He aided the lopsided trade including Gasol & Kwame Brown which of course favored the Lakers & eventually turned them into a championship caliber team, again.
So you see, in over 5 decades (1960s-2000s) Jerry West was crucial in making the Lakers the 2nd winningest franchise in NBA history.![]()
kobe lang ko kay wala naman kaayo ko ka kita sa dinuwaan aning uban nga naa dha sa pili anan...then si oneal murag kadyot ra man to sa lakers di pareha ni kobe...
Stat wise? magic is better? i beg to disagree......
Kobe is way way better in scoring while magic is on assist.. they play different position. so lets say if kobe is playing point guard he will make dishes and make his teammates involved. having said that he can earn assist like magic.
In terms of rebounding, steals and blocks they are both capable of this earning these stats.
so they are both better
In fact kobe has still more years to surpass magic,we'll still see![]()

the good thing with Magic, he plays all position. he can be a center , sg and fwd. for me, he is at his best on point guard position., i remember when Kareem was injured in the playoffs, he step up as a Center in the finals against 76ers, they won the finals.
Kobe was more a pure dominant scorer at Shooting guard position and take over games.
its hard to choose between Magic and Kobe, Magic had tough opponents during his time, and same goes as to Kobe.
but didn't Magic says Kobe is now the greatest Lakers all time, after they beat Boston in the finals.so i take his word.
