A mother should provide chalkboard and papers or any writing materials for her kids for them not to write on the wall. Tell them that they should only write on the said materials.
Nabiktima gyud ko anang gunting. I was taking a nap one afternoon when I woke up to see my younger twin sisters looking down at me with a pair of scissors in their hands and the most delighted of expressions stamped on their faces! Lingaw gyud kaayo sila'g putol sa akong buhok!![]()

Hehe. This really reminds me of myself during those days. From my experience, it was my imagination that got me to drawing / writing in the walls or anything surfaces that can be written-on for that matter. Yes, I can remember because I was in 1st grade back then.
One thing that worked on me was--drawing books! I would scribble down things in my drawing book because practically, I wasn't that much of a coloring genius. haha.
A lot of nice and friendly discouragement from my parents got me through that phase as well. My parents would cite why it was important not to scribble down things here and there. Honestly, they would tell me that it was very difficult to clean permanent markers off the wall!!
