i got mugged a few days ago and they got my phone. i'm planning on having the imei of my cp blocked by NTC. i just want to know if it's still possible to have it unblocked?
i heard it's possible to send a message or call thru imei? is that true?

tough luck cc(,``o ..IMEI can easily be unlocked..there's even a tutorial on the net that i found =)

its useless. ntc will just record then put it in the filing cabinet!
tough luck...
anyway, that's why i love my E398... it has iTunes w/ theft alarm of some sorts..
When the mugger or any person for that matter inserts his own SIM card, my phone will discreetly and automatically send the info of the mugger's - cell number and probable location ( cellsite location ),etc. to the numbers i had pre-defined in iTunes.dat.
w/ that info, i can simply set him up for his eventual arrest..
what phone?
newer phones have better security IMEI can not be flashed...........
also its better to go straight to your service provider and have it blocked
and also write a formal letter to the other service provider(smart, sun, or globe) requesting that the IMEI be blocked.............
actually the IMEI blocking has been proven useful..............
usually the stolen phones get sold and will have errors since its being blocked....
the buyer then goes to a service center(usually a globe, smart or sun service center) and the phone is confiscated........ if they go to other service centers they might want to change the IMEI but as i said new phones would have better security............ they will look and look for a service center unitl they go to smart, globe or sun and the phone can be traced..........
nice to know nga dili dali mailisan ang IMEI...
in my case, ive been flashing my v3i and e398 anything that can be flash or flex on my phones, but the IMEI stays the same..
OT: gee i've been warned ...
will the new phones you mentioned include SE k750i?
