The big time professionals who sell their photos, do it via agencies. These guys are usually the ones with big clients and has made their names and photos known around the globe.

Just a warning, the websites are picky and most of them want concept photos rather than a photo of your cute pet, or your street photos, macro and landscapes. And any picture taken with recognizable people in it must have model releases. If you don't, then they will cost less and fall under editorial photos. And they require a valid ID of you, not local ha, international i.e. passport.
I recommend practicing and enhancing your skills more before going into micro stock. Do your research first and read the rest of the articles in the website I gave above. Micro Stock websites are not dump sites of your "so so" photos and praying that someone might buy them. It's not as easy as deviant art.
