ahh because google says 1gig is max for thinkpad t30

1 gig ang maximum , meaning ang e display niya maximum is 1 gig, but ang intalled ram niya is 2 gig, dli ka ka basta bastag padagan win7 with just 1.8 procie and 1 gig memory.... think of it..

so youre saying that even if the display is 1gb only? the performance is 2gb since 2gb is a system requirement for windows 7?

for me, the amount of ram displayed is the amount that was actually read.

i guess windows 7 <32bit> can run on a 1gb memory..

Im sorry but i agree with coppermine. I was able to run and install win7 using Celeron and 512mb but it was slow and CPU and Ram usage was always maxed out. Also, i think if the system only reads 1gb then it will also only take advantage of 1gb like 32bit can only read and use up to 3gb even if you put 4gb. It defeats the purpose of maximum support if anyone can just exceed it. Think about it....

Suggestion lang sis, why dont you just remove the other 1gb and sell it separately so you can sell your laptop at a lower price faster. There are a lot of takers for 1gb DDR sodimm also, win-win situation for you right?
