personally, i believe that in every end of the darkest tunnel is a great light, a hope that beams great strides for every hardships that were exerted to achieve to reach that goal. yes, there is still hope but sadlly that might not be in our lifetime.

think about this, as the population of the nation increases - less employment and vast poverty will be rampant. more people will flock to cities. traffic will be unbearable and crimes hitting the scales bigtime. scary? probably, but that's the truth we need to face in the next decade or so. so brace yourself and enjoy the ride!

    to be continued....

personally, i believe that THERE IS still hope for the philippines...

it's not done overnight, it may take SEVERAL YEARS..

take japan for example.. dba naguba man ila economy once? but then they've managed to get back on the track and look where they are right now.. one of the economic powers of the world..

DISKARTE lang yan mga bro.. and DISCIPLINE.. not just with the officials.. start with ourselves..
tangtangon nato ang "crab mentality" kay mao nay makapa ubos nato..

ya. but we're talking about the attitude behind the demise of the filipino race. japanese by nature are very hardworking individuals who strives hard for excellence. honor is very important to them and people spoking about their achievement is very important too. even branded as lazy or a second rate performer is a slap in their face. some of them even take it a pride been crushed and dishonered that in the end, the lest that they can do to restore their pride is taking their lives in a harakiri or death by sword.

exactly.. so i think the possibility of following some of their values and traits (at least) is not far.. i think what you're trying to emphasize is the DISCIPLINE that the japanese people are showing.. if the japs can do it, i don't see any reason WHY WE CAN'T..

for the pinas part, it start on the individual. be desciplined and follow the law of the land.

but the biggest contributor for all of this to jell and produce the right result for success is the government. even if an individual strives hard but the government have disobeyed their own laws, as a nation, it will be hard to have that change or progress in comparison to what our fellow southeast asian neighbors have been achieving. the government is the leader of the pack. they are the one that carries the torch of hope and light that will lead us the dreamed promise land of ours. without a good leader, no company will surmise any goal they have laid out. even if the intentions are great but leaders are still the one that guides and execute the right formula for success. that's why this thread focuses on the philippine politics. is there hope? Of course yes! could it happen now. I think not. there are no visible leader we have that we think possess the ideals of a true and loyal servant of the people. naa unta to si roco pero wa naman pud sya plus naa pa sya to mga issues or scandals which probably his enemies propagated to put him down.
