Di siya mo shift into the next higher gear bisan kapila pa nimo i + ang shifter kung di ma attain ang certain speed.

Automatic sad siya mo low gear once mo hinay imo dagan. Say for example naka 5th gear naka nya ni minor ka, automatic mo ubos ang gear nimo depende sa imo speed.

Gamit kaayo ning tiptronic kung dulhugon ug kung mo overtake ka.

Tiptronic is (TM)(R) by Porsche... sa lain manufacturer lahi pud ang ila tawag nla sa inyo manumatic transmission

Sample :

Honda = Paddle Shifter
Mit = Sportronic
Toyota = ECT

same principle sa manual+auto tranny pero lahi2x lng ug name.

i didn't know that in US specs. can you provide sample units/trims for Honda and Toyota? i might trade mine for that. thanks

Take note CVTs are different Automatic Tranny (tiptronic or not) in terms of mechanical structures/ construction.

CVTs dont use any gears (from 1st to 7th) instead it uses Belt and adjustable pulley. The regular Auto tranny (tiptronic or not) uses Planetary gears..

Both however functions the same.

i wish they do that to 8th gen Civic - with the exception to SI and Mugen.

if they have offered this back in 2007 i should have got this. Choices were only 3, 2008 Civic Mugen (limited edition - Honda made only a 1000 of this), SI, Civic EX (auto) - of course the wife can't drive stick shift, so Mugen and SI were off the selection - went to EX.

not sure if the 2.0L specs that has paddle type shifter offered in the US and Canada - maybe in the UK. we have 2.0 SI and Mugen but that's about it.
