Default Mutual Funds, Bank rates, Insurance Questions and other Investment Questions

    PERSONAL FINANCE LITERACY PROGRAM

Last month, I conducted several educational talks entitled "Finance Literacy Program". It was quite a success as per feedbacks and testimonies from the attendees.

So, for this September, for those who wanted to join but couldn't, for those who didn't know about the program, I'd like to invite you to another schedule of the "eye-opener", "very informative" Finance Literacy Program.

What to expect from the program:
    - It's a participative talk wherein exercises will be given to the participants in order for them to assess themselves as to where they are in a financial aspect.

    - Participants are encouraged to become kids again... To DREAM BIG!

    - If you have questions such as:

    • Is my money in the bank safe?

    • What is the difference between the pre-need and insurance industry?? You mean to say, they ARE different?!

    • What is inflation? What is it's effect on my money? Really??

    • How much do I need to prepare for my son's college fund?

    • How do bonds work? What do you mean by stocks?

    • What is a mutual fund? How do they work?

    • How can I manage my measly monthly paycheck?

    • How much do I need to set aside for a comfortable retirement?

    Venue:
2nd Flr IL Training Room, Insular Life Bldg., Gorordo Ave. (Beside CIC Main)

    When:
    September 25, 2010 @ 1:30 - 5:00pm

    Fee:
    P100.00

Some of the testimonies from the August attendees:

What did you find most valuable about the program?
    - “The aspects on time/money management matrix, the realization that the bank may not be the most secured place to make your money grow, and about adjusting the budget to your dreams by finding the essentials.”

    - “Basically planning for the future and for your family. The right to invest.”

    - “It allows me to picture out what I want to achieve in life. It’s an eye opener for me.”

    - “I was able to learn about anything regarding financial matters, identify my assets & liabilities. I was able to understand why investment + insurance combined – are important.”

    COMMENTS/SUGGESTIONS:

    - “This program is really a big help to us specially in enlightening our minds for the assurance of our future. Thanks so much.”

    - “Thank you for sharing your knowledge to us. It’s great to know the financial status that I’m in right now.”

    - “Nice seminar. Very informative!”

@innosoft - to address the snacks, the materials and a little bit of the overhead expenses... to think about, i invested hundreds and several thousands on my finance education at my personal expense and i'm only charging P100 to the attendees for this educational talk. It's already a good buy for the attendees since MORE THAN the price ang makuha nila...

If I bring you in to educate my staff on financial literacy, should i pay for each? provided that its my venue and I will serve the snacks.

I am not a charitable institution. I do have basic needs to attend. If I give the program for free to everyone, is it a win-win situation?? (Both parties are happy??) Or is it a win-lose situation? (Only one party is happy?) If I give it for free, I will be able to educate the people, ma-happy ang employer and employees, but will it be fair to me?? No. So, win-lose situation sya. If I give it for a minimal fee, I get to do what i'm passionate about, make the employer and employees happy and with myself... So, win-win situation na siya...

So, the answer to your question is, YES. There is a different fee kung musulod ko ug company.. And that's one thing I'm working out on... But I do give this service for FREE to my clients kay part of my service.
