mao jud.. Dili pa supported ang shorting sa current market.. But hopefully ma implement nani nila unta as soon as possible aron makashorting nata sa stocks.. Actually part nani ang shorting of stocks sa list of features sa New Trading System.. gihinay2x palang nila implement ang whole system.

Totally agreed with innosoft.. Infact the mining sector is the worse performing sector in our local market today..

And base on technical indicators MACD is in positive territory which means uptrend momentum is good. But base on fundamentals, profitability ratio ROE not as impressive only 8.3% for 2009 and 8.5% projection for 2010 compared to double digit ROE for RLC and ALI. Market ratio - P/E also a bit overvalued.
Bro i see you are and avid fan of the Elliot Wave analysis.. Maayo na atleast naa ta elliotician ngari sa thread.. Can you share to us unsa mga nindot na books/ebooks to learn this principles?

Philippine Stocks' Bull Market Rally to Be `Massive,' Macquarie Group Says

The Philippine stock index may climb to a record this year after entering a bull market as President Benigno Aquino’s pledge to cut the budget deficit and raise investments drive earnings higher, Macquarie Group Ltd. said.

The benchmark index will reach 3,900 in the “near term” as economic expansion and earnings growth of 23 percent this year push Philippine stocks into a “massive bull market,” said Alex Pomento, a strategist at Macquarie in Manila. The measure, which peaked at 3,873.50 on Oct. 8, 2007, may extend gains to 4,500 in 2011, he said.

Bro, nindot ni siya pang investor bro and trader as well kay ma-project nimo where the market is heading. But the inherent weakness of EWT is the counting of waves. Ang pinaka-importante ani cguro is to determine where is the primary trend going either uptrend or downtrend then apply EWT. Kang John Murhpy nga book ako reference sa una ani bro "Technical Analysis of the Financial Market" gdiscuss man na niya did2 pero dili kaau detailed then i do my own research nalang to explore. John Murphy is one of the best Technical Trader, he is really a market technician and his book is very good for traders. In EWT market consolidation usually is the start of wave 4 then followed by an impulsive wave 5. And wave 5 is in equilibrium with wave 1 most of the time but sometimes wave 1 is extended and wave 5 is also extended.

To add: Since no US trading tonight. Then there will be no US reports that will be release tomorrow that can possibly affect the market I expect our local market to move sideways and correct by wednesday prior to the long vacation. What happen kanina is profit taking sa mga nakagain sa ilaha stocks particularly sa mga blue chips/1st liners. I am expecting some shift sa focus sa stocks towards the 2nd and 3rd liners. Its their turn to shine this time.. Example kay ang BEL ug RFM. To be cautious kay likayi lang jud ang mga penny stocks or the garbage stocks.

Thanks bro.. Actually naa ko basic lang na hibaw-an sa EWT.. Wla lang nako gipadayon koa learning niya coz of its complexity and it will violate the "Keep It Simple" na principle.. Pero if wla ko lingaw, I am planning to study it further.. Naa pud ko ana na book imo gi mention.. It is a very good book para sa mga beginners..

Speaking about MEG. Share lang nako about how to maximize your gains using swing trading technique. This is the way I trade my stocks.

This is how a typical buy and hold investor plays the stock:

From the two pictures above we can clearly see that mas dako jud ang kita sa swing trader kaysa sa buy and hold. Assuming same lang ilaha capital duha. Therefore I highly suggest jud to most beginners to try to learn and master swing trading concept.
