I don't know if I got my message across sa first post but I'll play along.

For certain, its NOT the 4th Gen iTouch. Ang buhata bro, check the bottom of the box. You'll find the model number there, you can't miss it. If the model number says "MC", it's 3rd Gen. If it's "MB", 2nd Gen. Both the 2nd and 3rd Gen iPods look the same, sinaw. The 1st Gen is different because it has a black border/frame. I also doubt stores are still selling BRAND NEW stocks of the 1st Gen iTouch. If it has that black border/frame, and they tell you it's brand new, that's a fallacy. It's likely refurbished, they can't even say na super old and unsold stock na kay 2007-2008 pa na ni-gawas ang 1st Gen.

How to tell if it's fake or not is beyond me, pero like I said you don't have to have Einstein's brains to figure that out by yourself hehe. I concur with lokster, kung wa kay salig, ayaw palita, simple! Kung na-ilad ka, i-uli nila nya pa-ilisdi ug orig! They are obliged to give you your money's worth. If they don't keep their end of the bargain, you can demand them to do so, unless ikaw sad mismo imo sila bayran ug play money hehehe.

(And notwithstanding all of the rumors regarding Wellcom's "notoriety", the fact remains that they're still in business, they have been for a while now. So if worst comes to worst, you can always go back to that outlet or try to get in touch with the main office to complain. They won't be going anywhere, di na sila mu-kalit ug sira just because they know they were able to sell a single/solitary rip-off unit. Some people are just so quick to complain and post 'hate threads' about a certain store after just one bad experience.)
