there is nothing wrong with wearing a helmet...if you can't afford to buy them simulataneously, buy them one at a time.....and the maximum number of passengers in a motorcycle is only two including the driver...you just need two helmets...

if you don't want it, then don't....who cares, it is your business not mine....

yes taga dumaguete ko and i apologize if my thread has offended the sensibilities of other istoryans.

those of you who resort to name calling, i forgive you. peace lang ta diri. i was not looking for war. i have been to real wars most of you just enjoyed watching on cnn.

i fought for freedom. i have been shot at. i have enough blood in my hands. i already have enough nightmares to keep me awake most nights. so please...

this thread is not about safety when riding motorcycles. i do not want to debate that. safety is never debatable.

my sentiments in this thread is about FREEDOM of choice...and it is not much i am asking.

i wear shorts, slippers, sunglass, and tshirt when riding my motorcycle when i am home in dumaguete.

according to this law, doing just that will get me fined for 1500 for the slippers, 1500 for the shorts, and another 1500 for the tshirt....and 1500 for the lack of helmet.

you will only understand all these if you come to visit dumaguete. ill be home before year end.. all those who wants to meet... ill be happy to see u there.

One day these people will wake up to find all their individual rights and freedoms are gone, because they see these kind of laws as good...and never recognize the totalitarian tones in its principle and implementation.

Really? then 50% of motorcyclists still living yesterday would have already died today.

The rate of motorcycle fatalities is just about the same with other types of vehicles, some even higher than motorcycles..buses for example. Media just love to sensationalize motorcycle accidents.

majority of accidents sa mga motor dli man mahibaw an sad....naa man uban defensive driving pero ang kasugat morag hari sa dalan.....
wearing helmets increases the survival rate of a person using a motorcycle, but it does not guarantee a 100% survival rate.
dapat unta naa nad price control sa mga helmet, para dli sad pahimuslan sa mga nagbaligya. not only in helmets. but mga safety devices....tan awa lang gud ang swat nato...ad2 gubat walay bulletproofvest ug helmet.
