music should be enjoyed. yes, music is just music. . but really, i think music and other forms of media truly have a big influence on us whether we admit it or not--whether we are AWARE of it or not. i personally like the article, not that i totally believe it, but it provoked certain thoughts that made me realize, hey. . i should be exercising circumspection when it comes to what i am watching, what i am listening, and most of all, the impression that i am allowing these forms of media are making on me. it helps to keep an open mind.

most educated individuals might say for as long as it's enjoyed as it is, it shouldn't be a problem. music is just music. videos are created for entertainment's sake, nothing more. it doesn't convert or distort us in any way. no conspiracies. really? probably. but look at most of our youth now. . especially those with unstable moral, family and even educational background. these people are more vulnerable to toxic media. do u think our young 'gangsters' here in Cebu are not in any way influenced by the cool image depicted by 50 cent or Snoop Dog on mtv? or how a man can only be a real man if he has multiple women canoodling him left and right judging by the music videos i see now? just a thought.
