we have that capacity but our nation is full of "naadan" attitude. I have read publications that Filipinos are good in inventions but we are "used" to criticize and bicker small things -then make it bigger] then in the end we just slipped it and stop moving forward. many of us are here in US because we believe that our capacity to improve can be attained with good critcisms... pinoys are hard workers in different country. Those criticisms can and will make the pinoys in different country reached that level of expectations.

What I observe about these 2... westerners live with it and a lot of them wears it!

Which means, who cares? I live my life and I am happy with it [not speaking for myself]. Well, as long as the person is happy with it... who cares? di ba? I doubt that bad criticisms cares much enough to the other person... sure the person who does it is happy... but, for how long? Just my thoughts.

I been working with these guys quite often, Americans, Germans, europeans and the likes, yup I'm sure that they have these traits, but they don't apply it in any conversation that I did with them, they are quite very sensitive of what to speak, I guess education makes a lot of difference.

I agree! Education is one of the reasons why they excel. We are educated but our education is hammered with "bahala na" attitude.

I guess we need a little refinement when it comes with dealing with the events at hand, most of the time logic is always taken for granted, as what I observe we base our actions with emotions which for me is really not the exact way. For instance anger will never bring forth friendly responses but animosity instead.

ako against kaau ko aning notion nga "WE ARE PROUD TO BE FILIPINOS" nya mag sige raba balik2x labi na makadaog si MANNY PACQUIAO... ngano against mnko?

because being in a certain RACE is not something one should be proud of.... dont be proud of ur RACE, be proud of ur ACHIEVEMENTS... ur own personal achievements is sumthng u need to be proud of.... not ur RACE which by the way only happened accidentally... u ddnt choose to be filipino, did u?? ur parents happened to be filipino thats why ur filipino, so why are u proud of it?? haha

ur more than welcome to disagree with me but THIS IS JUST A THOUGHT.... thank u very many

Philippines is a young nation. If you compare it to a Kid, that Kid right now is in its adolescent teenage years. It is moody and rebelious, but it is learning to become an adult. Philippines as a child may have had bad foster Parent like Spain. But the damage that they did is something repairable. It just takes time. If we abandon this child completely, then who will take care of it? It takes true strength to initiate and foster change. Who here wants to learn that strength, and be part of the group that paved the way to the Filipino becoming a well rounded adult? I will be leaving for abroad(with crossed fingers) I am offered residency and possible citizenship elsewhere. But i will not be staying there. I will use my resources and my knowledge to help initiate change in the Phils. It may just be something minor, but imagine, if the Majority of Filipinos did that minor things then that would go a long way. Thumbs down to Filipinos na naka tamak lang sa gawas, na naminyo ug foreigner na resident didto ug kun unsa pa, then inig balik sa Pinas puro tamay na lang ang buhaton. Instead of helping change. These are weak minded people, whose words are dull spears on strong shields.

I will say I am proud to be a Filipino! That doesn't mean that I am better than Amerikano or Negro. I am proud not because of what Manny Pacquiao or whichever famous Filipino did, but these are my roots and being Filipino I was born with the values in which the Filipinos have had for a long time. Some values may be outdated and needs change. The question to ask is what will you do to make the Filipino better?
    Which person are you:
Pinoy A: ahh maot ning Pilipinas, daghan ug corrupt, palakas system, sige lang piko2x sa balaod. Bati bati bati....Puro bati....

Kinsa man ka...It is idealistic and it is lisud to change. Are you a Filipino up for the challenge? Or is your resolve as weak as your mind? Sa sugod ra man ang change lisud bah. Will you just say na wa tay mahimo kay ngana man jud ang pinoy...Or will you stand up and say, that is enough!
