The volatility index is my bread and butter. Without volatility, prices of options stays stagnant. But the good news is volatility is indirectly proportional to stability. Low volatility means we have a stable market and thus predictable in the long run.

The fear indicator VIX is down indicative that traders or investors are not in panic mode.. hehe.. Then the traders index is also below 1 meaning more volume is coming into the advancing market. This is a good sign.

I hope DOW will be able to sustain it tonight.

Sa karon I'm using similar approach/principle which I made out of curiosity and experiment2x.
Step 1: I select a benchmark (PSE Index).
Step 2: Select the top performing sectors which are currently outperforming the benchmark.
Step 3: Based from step 2, I pick stocks on those sectors which are currently outperforming their sectors. Overall I come out with a stock list which is outperforming both its sector and the overall market. Kani sila ako ginagamit na list para sa swing trading nako.

So far sa karon ang best sectors to choose stocks from are: HOLDING, PROPERTY, and FINANCIAL. Ang INDUSTRIAL kay ni down and same2x na sila performance sa PSE index.. The worse sectors are the SERVICE, and the MINING-OIL.. Avoid jud ko ana nila duha sa karon..
Bro, where do you get data on sector performances? Me, I just look at the charts. Do you do that in citisec also? PCOMM for Commercial industrial, PCOMP for composite index, PFINC financials, PMINI for mining, PPROP for property?

Naa lang ko gamay hangyo pud sa mga tawo diri. Inig kadato nato (believe in your future wealth jud!!!), please let us share our blessings with our less fortunate brethren. Maybe some of you will help Gawad Kalinga or like me, I plan to sponsor a few children through the World Vision. My plan is to set up a separate trading fund and I'll use the gains to pay for poor kid's education. My small contribution to nation building.

I think in investing mga bro, the "why" is also as important as the "how". I plan to give my family a good life but I also plan to help others. I hope dili ta makalimot ana.
