Both Korea and China followed the Japanese. They got rich by exporting. The Philippines gets poor by importing almost everything, including rice. Then there's the rampant smuggling. Oil won't do jack to this country, if we had oil the company that pulls it out of the ground is going to be owned and hoarded by some government official and you won't see a single centavo of it.

I think ang problem nato kay init kaau. So ang tao dili ganahan mo trabaho, ganahan ra mag pa bugnaw. so lower productivity and slower economy. Thats why tanan countries na init kay low ang economy. Except singapore kay strategic port city man na xa. HK isnt that hot.
