Help me decide if system is worth the price

AMD/nVidia platform raba ko hehe. pero bisan naka 50% OC ako CPU wala man jud na unsa kaluoy sa ginuo.

next week mag Intel/ATI platform nako itest nako ang duha pareho man quad core hehe.

pero bisan unsa kalig-on ang usa ka butang kung wala proper care and maintenance ang nag gamit maguba jud na.

ako dili jud ko bias kay ako desktop is AMD and ako laptop is Intel.

its stable and relaiable but intel is more stable and more reliable. amd had more issues compared to intel. it took me a month to solve the lag problem in dota in an internet cafe i was setting up before whose pc's were athlonx2 3800's. i really cant believe that it is very slow in dota because even a pentium 4 1.8 is enough to run the game smoothly. good thing ive discovered their dual core optimizer and it solved the problem. then heat issues, then the tlp bug according to sempron guy. in my 6yr exp with pc's ive encountered many busted amd procs while 1 encountered only 1 busted intel proc. though sometimes, amd procs may perform a bit faster (though i cant see a difference when im using it), intel never gave me issues.

let me ask you, was your problem caused by a bad product? or was it caused by poor understanding on how to deal assembling such system.? it took you pa 1 month to realize something that has bugged even when HT was still introduced?

how to deal? what HT? ive dealt with i guess almost a thousand computers, you maybe less than a hundred?

intel setups didnt have problems like those. it was really frustrating because those procs came before the core2duo's and that time, amd was dominating and amd procs were more expensive than intel. i was also thinking that those athlon x2's were very fast. but all of a sudden it lags on dota, the game that most internet cafe users are crazy. the memory was even upgraded to 1gig but still no improvement on the performance. it was even posted here by the owner but all people were saying that it could be heat, lack of memory, change the videocard, reformat. very few knew about the bug. good thing we discovered the dual core optimizer in another forum of a different website. it took us long because we tested almost everything we can think about.

almost all apps mo utilize na og multiple cores? pagchur oi. buot2x sa ka da hehehe. wala pa gani na nag require ang mga new games og more than 2 cores. minimum requirements sa dirt2 kay athlon 64 3400+ ra man gani. recommended kay i3. i also have played nfsshift with my e2180 and its still playable.

before ni gawas nang core2duo, mas taas og price ang amd kaysa intel. siguro ga duwa pa ka og jolen adto nga time maong wala ka kahibalo. kadtong ga dominate pa ang amd, athlon 64 costs more than its p4 counterpart another example, pag 2006, athlon x2 3800 processor alone costs 18k. karon, ambot if naa pay mu palit og 2k ana. pag abot sa core2duo, buhagay ang amd unya mag lisod og compete mao nang gipa ubsan og maayo ang price sa ilang procs para maka compete
and about dirt 2, Dirt 2 System Requirements - PC Game Dirt 2 System Specs tanawa sa babaw diba i3 ra ang requirement. overkill ra nang requirement sa ubos kay mo dagan man gani sa athlon 64, so i guess smooth na gani na sa athlon x2 or pentium dual core.
im just a practical guy. i learn from experience and tries not to commit the same mistakes again. im concerned with the system as a whole and not just performance or the processor. plus i dont like to take unecessary risks if i have something that i know is reliable. and dont have time to do experiments with things today coz im more concerned with microsoft and cisco certifications.

bro pasagdi ni si erwin sa iya pagtuo, lahi man ni sya religion gud. kontento naman ni sya as "plug and play" system builder and inig human setup magproblema basolon daun ang product kai bati :P
imagina gud iya statement about sa game requirements, kontento na sya "basta mudagan" ang game. basin ok ra sa iya na gadagan ug 10-15 fps :P

nagkatawa ra ko samot sa iya mga statements. wala ka evolve. applications/games wala mag nid 2-cores? wala sya makakita advantage having 2-cores or more sa overall system performance. wala kaayo tig-gamit ug photoshop? i wonder unsa ra diay ka limited imo resources and knowledge building such systems for mission-critical purposes. try running lots of flash-based applications like games on facebook awon nato d ba mukamang imo pc on a single core pc. kani mga simple examples kai basin maghisgot ko mas technical na kaayo d nya makaapas imo stock knowledge basin mag-loading pa imo single-core brain.

But sometimes experience is not enough. Technology is moving at an unbelievable rate. What's new tech today may be outdated tomorrow. We must move along with technology. And not just be contented with our current knowledge and experiences. You sir is somewhat hiding on you own shell. That is okay btw, we all had our preferences but don't drag people along and poison them with your opinions based on past experiences. Past experiences + technology is like water and oil. They just don't mixed up. If a component has flaws, there goes revisions, if a game is buggy there goes patches. I've been in almost all of the threads where you also shared some thoughts. And makita jud ang pagka-bias nimo. And what you been denying the fact that you dislike some specific brands? I don't think so, because it is quite obvious on the way you post. At least be open-minded. Techie man kaha ka. You can just blurt out ideas then get caught in the middle and reason out "sauna man gud". That's plain BS. W/o due respect but your remind me of old folks, who still believes there is something malignant about pictures talking inside a box.
