what about gigabyte and msi?
Ako nagamit:
Sparkle Geforce 4 MX 440 128mb 8x - 2003 pa ni, hangtud karon buhi pa ako nalang gbaligya
Sapphire ATI Radeon 9250 128mb - 2004, working pa
Inno3d 7600GST 256mb GDDR3 - after 6 months sige na ug crash, kailangan pa i-underclock para dili mu crash
Palit Radeon HD4670 Super 512mb GDDR3 - Used for a year bago nako gibaligya sa usa ka istoryan diri. No issues. Naka-recommend ko ug Palit 9500GT 256mb GDDR3 sa ako amigo, gamit pa niya karon 2 years after.
Triplex Radeon HD4850 512mb GDDR4 - bag-o pa nag 1 year last week, running strong.
I'm sure tsada ang Gigabyte ug Msi ( musulayay pa ko ). In general, matsada man ang brand para sa imoha or dili ana jud na tanan. Ma XFX man o EVGA, li jud na malikayan ang factory defect.
thanks ninyo tanan.
so overall, Palit and ASUS would be the "safer" brand?
I just go for whichever is at hand. Kung asay matripan hehe. Not really quite particular unsa nga brand. Look at my current gpu. I bet more than 3/4 of you hadn't heard of triplex. Daghan ga-ingon nako kuyaw, but I made the risk and was satisfied with it. And it was cheap yet I'm getting just as like most premium brands are offering performance/cooling. And natripan nako karon is either MSI's Cyclone Variant or Asus' Top CuCore. So ang ako advice sa imo, set a budget and get whichever fits your budget. Don't get allured by the fact that if you'll pay premium for a premium brand you'll get more performance? reliability? As far as reliability is concerned I think all companies has its ups and downs. Pagmatungnan ka ug guba malas lang jud. Its not a brand thing.
ky dali ra kaau maguba ang fan (well it depends on ur environment)
pero kadaghan na gyud ko ani nka pa rma sa G.I. ky cge ka garbage ang image or mo hang kung mag install ka driver...
to be specific inno3d geforce 9500GT...

This doesn't prove anything... for one thing the gpus in all video cards come from ATI or Nvidia. These companies merely add their own touches like the cooling system, outputs, and designs... Also there are many factors that can affect the outcome of the difference in performance. Even if the 3 pcs u used had the same hardware, they do NOT translate to the same performance figures. This is manly because all components had different imperfections in materials. Metals used in the manufacturing process are NOT all identical. This can be proven with processors. Why do you thing hardware editors keep saying that not all OC are identical? Even if you have two i7 920s, they will NOT OC to the same frequencies or voltages. And even if they do overclock to the same frequencies, i guarantee you the wont have exact numbers on benchmarks as well.
Another point i want to make is that 100pts in vantage is NOTHING... Take a resistor for example, see the last bands? The last band is usually what's called a 'tolerance level'. If this said resistor is rated at 1k ohms, i guarantee you this will not be exactly 1000ohms in an ohm meter. Again, this is due to imperfections of the metal in the manufacturing process. The point is, the number will be close and is 'ACCEPTABLE'...
also, there are materials that have lower tolerance levels. These are labeled as 'military class' components. If your standard resistor costs u, i dunno, 5 pesos; a military class component will cost you more than 10x as much...
