well the TS already bought the unit @ P11K a few pages back...
what ive posted are just my experiences and it could be positive or negative. it just happend that i have so many with amd and very few with intel thats why i recommend intel. i cant force you to believe in what im posting but i wont get anything if i lie about my experiences because im not connected to intel nor i sell their products coz im working as an it staff in a callcenter. i just dont jump immediately to a bandwagon because i dont want to commit the same mistakes before like my experience with amd phenom where many people are saying its good but then when i tried it, its really not that good.
lets just keep a healthy conversation here and defend our statements as long as we can and not say im a fanboy or pessimistic blah blah blah.
If you don't hate AMD then why do you bash them? This makes absolutely no sense. You keep saying that all AMD products are bad , that they keep failing, or that they are defective. Think for a minute if your posts make you sound like an Intel evangelist? If you don't think so, then I suggest think harder. How is this not hating or biased? If you don't realize by now, you make contradicting statements in your posts.
Also, if what you say is true, wouldn't AMD be bankrupt by now? Wouldn't you think there would've been an inquiry in many regulatory organizations about AMDs business practices if they make such bad products? The fact is there is no inquiry because AMD is not as bad as you made them out to be. Even multi-billion dollar businesses use AMD cpus. Do you really think they would use a product that fails when any setback would cost them millions or billions?
hmmm. i bought the unit as i have stated pages back.
To clarify:
I based my decision on what was discussed here (thanks a lot guys and gals) and also some friends. (Hey! how come a lot of them prefer Intel?).
I firmly believe the deal was fair or was a catch for me.
I know the seller personally.
He is not into gaming. He don't even know what is OC.
The unit was very under utilized (reason for selling) as he has a laptop.
He bought it brand new late 2008.
Your discussion here helped me lot (kudos to istroya.net).
Keep your discussion here as constructive as possible as i am sure it can help other istoryans
in some ways.
Thanks again!
im just sharing my first hand experiences and thats it. if i recommend intel over amd, does it mean i hate amd? if i hate amd, i wouldnt have bought and sempron 2400, athlon 3000+, athlon x2 5200, athlon x2 6000 and recommended phenom x4 to my friend. im just defending my statements with my 6-yr experience with different computers. intel setups served me better than amd setups. with the rma rates, im just sharing this as an fyi. its also my basis of my recommendations just like before where i tell people who ask my advice not to buy via chipsets for intel and amd because it has high rate of rma. its up to you to if you believe or not. and also, can you please give me a link to my post where i wrote that all amd products are bad? i really couldnt remember writing it.

same here bro..
i have used amd A3000+ | 3200+ / sempron 2000XP | AM2 3600 | 4200 | 5200 | 6000
have recommended and assembled a lot AMD setup
i mostly reccomend the QubePC AMD Setup @ 15k+ with AthlonII X2 240 with 19" LCD for my budget gamer clients
but i personally prefer INTEL over the hunch
i had had an E8400 @ 3.6GHz + 3GB RAM that was very stable and fast ( on my experience against the AM2 6000+ and AM2 540 i set-upped on my client )
then i have the C2Q6600 @ 3.6GHz with no bottleneck in games and Photoshop...
i like AMD coz its cheaper but i love INTEL cuz of its performance..it simply just rock!
wa pa nuon ko kasuway ug X6..basin naa ganahan pahuwang dha
