BAMBOO or RIVERMAYA

i've heard of them when i was a teenager but i've only really just noticed them now. anyway i would choose Rivermaya karon. biased siguro ko kay Rivermaya pirmi gipatukar ron sa opisina. i used to not like "You'll Be Safe Here." i honestly thought it was corny with lyrics that feels like they have already been said before. but hearing their other songs i've noticed they are very experimental. and murang mausab usab sa vocalist iyang tingog. i still admire Bamboo, though. their lyrics strike me as the ones that are more effortlessly made. the tune is another matter.

i prefer bamboo, though i think they should ditch the guitarist. rivermaya is ok i guess, i just think they try too hard to stay on the mainstream.

I can't quite put the two together in the same category.. i love them both basically hehehe
Rivermaya man gud, they have their maturity level as musicians is way up there na, and they're almost an icon na in pinoy music, bamboo has a lot of 'growing up' to do pa.
BUT, IMHO, Bamboo can rock the house more. Its all about the attitude. High energy kaayo basta mo perform.
As long as Nathan Azarcon and Bamboo Manalac are together, bamboo the band can go way far pa.
Kung na retain lang unta tong original line-up sa rivermaya.. wa na jud koy lain pinaka favorite na banda hehe.

Both bands have their own style & creativity. Both are admirable!
They keep the Pinoy music alive!
