Dear Gloria Diaz,
When you're in Cebu and you happen to speak Cebuano, you should reply in Cebuano because that's our native tongue here. Replying in English is not mandatory therefore you have no right to say that my cute bisdak chicks hardly speak any English, because they're not required to.
If my cute bisdak chicks converse with people on different languages (i.e. taga(go)log), they reply to you in the appropriate language.
Now if you really want my cute bisdak chicks to speak in English, give me one reason why they should have to. Is it because so you can see how industrialized are we here like there in Manila? Socialeras? Conios? Hey, we don't give a rats ass. We owe you nothing.
I have been to Manila once. The most disappointing thing I've noticed there is the preferred language of conversation. I hardly know taga(go)log and I have plenty of failing grades in Filipino back in elementary. So I converse mostly in English when I was in Manila. Whenever I converse there, I always get this irritating reply: "Wow English! Tang na nosebleed ako". Now tell me, who hardly speaks English now? Why are your people there so surprised to hear someone speak in English especially if the guy conversating is Kayumanggi?
