i agree... ana jud na bro, most sentiments here happen to be products of diappointments because noynoy won the election and not their candidate. it is clear.

what happen yesterday is a by product of incompetency accumulated over years of corrupt and messed-up government. the hostage taker was disgruntled of a case that happen in the previous administrations time. if ang hostages were local, would we react this way? i believe not. i didnt vote for noynoy but why blame him for what happened? we may not hear him talking about the incident but im sure he must have given directives to look into the matter.

did presidents of some other countries did the negotiations when things like this happens? no. but they have given directives, made proper channeling... if noynoy opened his mouth yesterday, it wont do anything, maybe agrreviate the sitaution more. mr mendoza was angry and that ombudsman, in return he was given somepapers and the assurance that the ombudsman will review the case personnally but does it made mr mendoza calm? no.

at this point of time, the only thing that matters in mr mendoza's mind was his family. but sad thing, the police drag them out of their house and made them accomplices instead especially his brother, not a good move! i wonder what does the person incharge tought when he gave orders to arrest his family?

bottomline: not because we happened to experience crisis, should we blame the president. there are other people and department who are best to handle the situation, and we should look up to them.

*** Nagpadala ug additional police force
Isn't it the judgement of the local police officer who is assigned to assess the situation? Does the chief negotiator has to tell the president to bring in more police force? Again, that is the judgement of the officer assigned to deal with the situation. You are not putting puppets in the fields, you are putting officers who graduated in PMA/PNPA...

*** Impose Media Blackout
Again, its the local officer assigned in the area to assess the situation. You mean to say, those officers would still ask PNOY what to do with the media? Isn't it an SOP to cordon the area in crisis like that? Bottom line is, our police officers doesn't know their jobs well... They are just sitting in their couches and waiting for their pay slips to be served!

You don't talk to foreign diplomats on the situation unless you are very certain with the outcome. I think every country exercise that policy esp. matters that would affect foreign relations. You need to be certain on how the situation is going before releasing official statements.

i dont know why you keep defending a president who has no balls to fight for you.. i only have a few friends & i can count them w/ my fingers, but at anytime i'd gladly give up my life for them, cause i know they would do the same for me, its a band of brothers, as simple as that... but the president doesnt earn my respect, he is indecisive & inept in situations like this.. you keep defending him but when the time comes when he has to defend you, do you think he'd do anything to save your life?? you may just be another statistical number to him & a sorry speech in the making..

during the iraq invasion when a marine girl (19yr old i think) had their convoy ambushed, the injured girl was captured & taken to an iraqi hospital, people in the US government pulled strings, CIA NSA, & days after the girl was rescued by navy seals.. when somali pirates captured a ship & the captain made a deal w/ the pirates to spare the crew & take him, navy seals came to the rescue & did a wonderful job.. the philippines is well behind compared to the US military BUT as commander-in-chief, you should know that the best people to handle critical situations is at your own disposal, as a leader, mao unta ni gi himo ni noynoy, call all high ranking officers, ask what his options are, then choose an option he finds best & be ready for the consequences.. dili siya sikat sa military & police BUT at least he should have earned their respect.. mas mo respeto pa unta ang mga people in uniform kung mao 2 iya gi himo.. wala man gani nahadlok dawat og responsibility ang president sa russia during the moviehouse hostage taking, naay nangamatay na hostage unya patay tanan hostage taker.. as a leader you will be faced w/ scary & hairy situations, the outcome maybe bad BUT what matters is that you took action, made the best option & took responsibility, i never felt noynoy lift a finger for what happened..
