    OT:

As i have remembered, Entropy was described by our instructor as the measure of the random movements of molecules. The movements of molecules are uncertain, so entropy is also described as the measure of uncertainty. My previous instructors also defined entropy the same as disorder.... Since it is in disorder, you cannot contain it or harness entropy, therefore it is considered as a loss of energy. A change in entropy means that there is a loss of energy.

That's the reason in an isentropic process, it is considered as an ideal state bcoz losses of energy is not considered since constant entropy is assumed...

yes, u r ryt dat entropy is a law bout disorder, its main premise s dat evrythin n dis world would become disorderly at some point. say for example u hav a stack of books on ur table, now observe wat will happen to it d next week, mor likely dan not dose books will be displaced n come out of order as wat u intend it to be

d way i defined entropy above s n d energy perspective, tho it myt b hard 2 visualize since energy cant b seen. u may b ryt bout sum loss of energy, but u r jst considering a small system, jst lyk wat we assume n class. my xplanation jst so happens to be on a massive scale

Building a Nuclear Power Plant here in Cebu

in the US, a first world country, nuclear power's economic competitiveness has eroded over the past 15 years, during which time utilities have canceled 117 nuclear power plant orders. 117 NUCLEAR POWER PLANT ORDERS CANCELLED IN THE US. that means there would be lesser or next to impossible chance for a nuclear power company making a gamble and order/install a nuclear power plant for Cebu, a city in a third world country at that, not only because of safety issues - like what has been discussed here extensively - but because it's just not a wise business decision.

if I owned a Nuclear Power Utility Company: if it were Japan, Germany, Canada, US.. I wouldn't think twice in investing there. but Cebu, Philippines? man, that would be at the very bottom of my list. not unless if I want to commit suicide.

common sense man.. common sense..

    Default Nuclear Facility in Cebu

Environmental scientists are predicting that we will have a water crisis in Cebu in the near future because Cebu's water supply is not big enough to support its growing population.

To address that concern, I am proposing that Cebu should open a desalinization plant... or a factory that converts sea water into fresh water. The problem is that such a desalinization plant requires a huge amount of power to run, which Cebu also does not have.

Thus, to find the power to run this plant, I propose that Cebu should open a nuclear power facility. This will solve both our water and energy crisis in one go.

How do you feel about this? Please share your opinion.

I feel Cebu should be added to the axis of evil if it were to undertake this voyage now that Iraq is no more.

It would be good to have this power reactors to meet our increasing demands of electricity but because of environmental concerns it will not possible..
