sleepless....


then ...
i woke up
with this deafening silence .

a still room
with just the curtain blown by
the breeze ...

i twisted
i turned
i tumbled on this crumpled sheets ....

sleep evades me ...

i closed my eyes ...
and
i saw your face ....
i hear your voice ...
i hear you sing ...

and so .
i twisted
i turned
i tumbled on this crumpled sheets ....

i hugged your pillow

i inhaled your scent on it ...
i breathed your warmth ....

i closed my eyes
and
a tear rolls down my face ...

and so.
i twisted
i turned
i tumbled on this crumpled sheets ....

and a sob ached my chest .

with your gentle hands ....
you stretched out the white linens ...
and you held me ....
stroke ever so gently ....smoothly ...
while I glide with pleasure ...
together we poured out our desires ....
word by word ... we utter our sighs ....
a moment we both treasure ....
breath then .... for a moment...
again ... you held me sweetly ...
sweet strokes of love and passion
and a poetry is created ....

sweet summer death...

so the rain fell on the ground ...
hard rain ... thunder ... lightning ...

mud will swallow you once you stepped in ...
and there is nothing to hold on to....
no one to hold on to ...

slowly the dark slime will pull you deeper ...
deeper
deeper into the darkness...
where there is no air ...
you cannot breath ...
the mud suffocates you ...
toying with your lifeless body ...
squeezing your spirit out ...
putting end with your struggles ...

and you lay there ...
cold ...
you felt cold ...
lifeless ...

but ...

you are in pain ...
shouting in agony...
praying that the suffering will end ...
begging for the pain to stop.

so you wake up
and reality is just too much to bear ...
and you wish to fall asleep again ...


so the rain fell on the ground ...
hard rain ...

thunder ...

lightning ...

and you wish for a sweet summer death ...

dream catcher

dream catcher
catch me a dream tonight
place it in a colorful setting
with autumn leaves falling
in a romantic park
where geese are floating
in this lake that sparks ...

dream catcher
if you see this man inside my heart
catch him and put him in my dream
i want him to be gorgeous
dazzling and charming
he'll be my prince charming
all day we will be dancing

dream catcher
please catch my dream
and send my dream to that someone in my heart
so we will share the same dream tonight ...

the swing, the daffodils and the ocean breeze


the swing swung
the sun shone

the ocean's breeze
i gently sneeze

the swing swung
back and forth
to the daffodils
to the ocean's breeze

the swing swung
to the golden daffodils
the ocean's breeze
i gently sneeze

the swing swung

the seagulls flew
so high above

the swing swung
to the daffodils

she
talked to me silently
as i wept before her
she
wants to comfort me , i know
as i am in pain

she
was there all along when the sun dies
watching me with careful gaze
she
who understands of
how to long for someone so out of reach

she
who had loved sailors and kings and artists
she
who had failed to touch them so
she
who longed for a lover
she
who broke her heart many times or so

she
the moon
and
me
the human

together we wept by ebb tide...

you were the ghost that thorns my heart
such a lovely name and fair face you had
we keep on battling even though we weren't mad
but why every battle from you makes me SAD?

searching for happiness is only your aim
which i realize I shouldn't do the same
so I ask your for a game
which afterward you have given me the name.

laughter and joys have filled us
though ever after is with us
i felt such a strong feeling that I know would last
that makes my heart beat so fast.

i hold your hand but though i can't hold it
i have just felt the coldness from it
so I say this to you
"your hands are cold like this frozen heart of mine"
"but i promise you that i"ll make it warm for you"

darkness suddenly came that filled our place
when light emit i fell like I'm in a maze
b'coz i have forgot your name and lovely face
which made my heart badly ache

but one thing is for sure!
I WILL FIND YOU AGAIN.

The contest has the following division and category: English Division – Poetry.

An entry must consist of one (1) poem of any form or length on or about the Republic of Chile—its bicentenary, people, scenery, culture and/or society.

Authors may submit only one (1) entry.

apan sa imung kinabuhi wala akoy pulos,
nga daw sumasam ko sa usa ka tamad
dili man gani ko nemu
mahinumdum sa imung pagpanimpad

sa dihang ikaw nag masulob.on
diri ka ning sa sandig ka naku
gi sakpripisyo ka ang tanan
ma angkon lang matahum mong pahiwum

pero karung wala napud koy gamit
sa imung kinabuhing nag malipayon
tungod didto ka ning balik sa kapikas
mong murag terorista,
kuwang na lang si binladin kay umambit.

mura kog basura nga imung gi sukwahi
parehas sa 5110 nga wala nay bili
apan ipamulong ka nalng tanan
